Project overview
Huddersfield based craft brewery, Beer Ink, needed a new brand identity to reflect their growing business. I developed a brand and suite of package designs for their flagship beers that paid homage to their heritage as an irreverent player in the craft beer industry.
The brand identity and core range of can labels were created around the motif of the Ink drop. The idea of the polished and the unpolished is carried through the brand in typeface and imagery choices. Beer Ink also produced many short short beer runs, for which I created unusual, illustrative designs for.
Results
At the time of its release the new Beer Ink brand was praised by several beer focused podcasts.
Special edition beers have had a cult following, with bottle shops running out instantaneously, proving the Beer Ink cans are good inside and out.
